Better Late Then Never - Vow This Republic Day for a Corruption Free Clean India!

It's our 63rd Republic Day. If you retrospect, you would feel we have come a long way. We have seen big developments and drastic changes. Today we are free to do whatever we want. Our living standard has improved a lot. Everything and everyone seems to be progressing. May be that's what you think, because you have the access to internet and you can read this while sitting at the comforts of your home. But think about those who don't even have access to safe drinking water even today, those who still live on pavements, those who are below poverty line, and those who don't earn enough to earn two times meal.

May be you haven't seen someone dying of hunger. May be you haven't seen someone begging for food. We live in cities and think everything is going well. Political parties also spend a lot of money to display advertisements showing the growth stats of our economy. But let me tell you frankly, we are still sluggish when it comes to growth. And we can not develop fully, until the corruption is removed out from our country.

Our politicians, bureaucrats are eating up our economy. Corruption is so vast, that you can't expect anything to be done without paying bribe. Recent examples show the vast amount of our hard earned money going down the drain. Common wealth corruption, 2G scam are the recent examples that can not be forgotten. Thousands of crores were misused and are being misused.

Even the clerks and lower grade officers of our country have made tons of illegal money. Recently caught Raman Dhuldhoye, a clerk employed with RTO, owned 1 kg gold and other assets worth Rs 40 crore. Although his salary was just Rs 15000 per month. This is just one case, who knows there may be many more Raman Dhuldhoyes in our country if a pan India inquiry is done. Tons of money is illegally stashed into the swiss banks. That money is our money only. We earn hard to generate GDP of our country. We pay taxes and pay our bills. At the end of the day, government officials and politicians fill their pockets and when they can't fill their pockets then send the money to their swiss bank accounts. If this is not stopped, that day is not far when we will have to face an internal war within the country and everything will be ruined.

So, better late then never. Let's get up and vow this Republic Day to make India a corruption free country and participate actively to clean the mess all around us. No one will come and do it for us. We have to get up and do something on our own. Jai Hind!

Government Scared Of Anna Hazare and JanLokpal Bill.

We have seen How Anna Hazare was taken into police custody, we have seen how he was asked to leave Tihar jail just after the public protest. We have also seen how he was allowed 15 days to demonstrate at Ramlila Maidan.

And now we can see how the government is taking useless and just embroiling the whole matter. It is evident that Congress(Government) deos not want that a strong Lokpal Bill should be draft and passed.

Congress is afraid of Anna Hazare and his strong Lokpal Bill. This is time for us to get united and stand against the Government. We need to get freedom from Ravanraj. We need to build a new India. A Corruption free India. Please join Anna and make his efforts successful and force the Government to bring a strong Bill. Join us and Appeal others too.

The first meeting of Young India Association: An Energetic Restart

It gives me immense pleasure to mention that a year ago, we started as a small website, but now we have more than 300 active and non active members throughout India. On 12th of December, 2010, members of Delhi/NCR organized a meeting to discuss the future course of action of our association. It was a little difficult to organize a national level meeting, as it would have been inconvent for people oming from far flung cities, and secondly we were also not prepared for the same. But very soon, we will organise a national level meeting and plan our nation wide activities.

Someone has rightly said, no dream is big. We believe in the same. We dream of making India a corruption free, poverty free and terrorism free country. Some people say, it is quite impossible. But they forget to see the hidden meaning of Impossible, i.e. I+m+Possible. Difference of attitude, isn't it? Only those who dare, are the winners. Let us start from somewhere, and you will see the difference.

Some of our relatives and friends also tried to add fuel to the jet of discouragement to bring us down. Someone also said that not even a single person would like to be a member of this association. But these things didn't bring us down. Infact these criticisms lead to a strong determination to start all this up.

We have seen thousands of NGOs, we have seen hundreds of political parties, we have seen millions of charitable institutions, but sadly, India is still corrupt, our people are still hungry, we are still struggling to find our place on the world map. Who will come and rectify all these things, Aliens? No answers for guessing. It's we people, we Indian citizens, who have to clean up the mess and build anew India.

And lastly, I would thank all the people who attended the meeting and would also not forget to rebuke all those who didn't attend even after several reminders. If you don't even have time for your motherland, you are not worth being it's citizen.

Common wealth affecting common man's health!!!

We all know that common wealth games are approaching and Delhi government is trying hard to complete the preparations on time. Dug up roads, dusty lanes, barricades, road blockers only tell that there is something very important going on. Yes, everyone guesses it right. Common wealth preparations are on full swing and you can see beautification of roads and streets, construction of new flyovers, footover bridges and bus stands.

Delhi Govt doesn’t want the foreign delegates to see our dusty and narrow roads where people are in a mad rush to leave everyone behind. That’s why they are leavingno stone unturned to maeke sure that foreigners don’t have to face any problem while they are in for common wealth visit.

But for many people in New Delhi, the anticipation of the next Games is sure to occur earlier, and more, hoping that things return to normal after that. Currently, if you see a lot of places in Delhi, they are under some form of construction or the other. Parts such as the subway extension is not related to the games as such, but many of the other sections such as beautification of roads and pavements, the extending roads and flyovers, construction of new roads and bridges, etc., are really causing a huge problem in Delhi.

The construction has caused a lot of dust in areas where construction takes place could be described as a danger to Health. Imagine driving in these areas, and seeing the less visible, because a large amount of dust (not to mention the problems if you have any type of lung problems or asthma).

Unfortunately, I live in a region where the amount of construction is going pretty hard, and even when people are happy because of the long-term effects of construction on property values, there are many short-term problems. In addition to what I said above, the construction has caused many traffic lights go to flash, traffic jams occur most frequently.

Does Mayawati deserve this garland?

See how Mayawati is playing in millions of rupees. Her party BSP claims the garland of Rs 1,000 notes gifted to her during the party's 25th founding day celebrations was worth only Rs 21 lakh, but income tax deptt. says that its value could be upto Rs 5 crore.

The garland weighed 65kg made Rs 1,000 notes. Officials say it would take at least 500 bundles of Rs 1,000 denomination to make the garland. Sources said IT deptt. gathered information from BSP insiders on the composition of the garland and a team is working with banks and other sources to track the money transactions.

It is being said that the IT department may soon ask the Dalit party to declare the source of the funds. In any case, the BSP would have to file all relevant details on expenditure in their IT return this year.

This is not the first time Mayawati has is in controversy on the scale of offerings made to her. A few years ago when the CBI had registered a disproportionate assets (DA) case against her and seized a number of bank accounts. She had then claimed that they came through donations by party supporters.

This shows how much power and wealth is there in politics. Hence, politics has become a dirty game and we need to take our country out of its grip. What do you think about Mayawati's Garland episode?
